The vision
Commissioner Eddie Cantu aims to tackle extensive issues in the Rio Grande Valley, including pedestrian safety, childhood health, and interregional community, by implementing improvements our whole county can enjoy.
Through his collaboration and commitment, Cantu has been able to expand and improve roads, develop parks, and oversee the administration of both Precinct 2 Community Resource Centers and the TECHBus RGV.
Eddie Cantu’s future goals for Hidalgo County, include:
• Renovating city parks.
• Improving maintenance and drainage for roads.
• Making Boys & Girls activities accessible to children in rural areas.
• Connecting the P2 Hike & Bike Trail to Edinburg, and ultimately the University of Texas RGV.
