Commissioner Eddie Cantu oversees the administration of the P2 Community Resources Centers and the TECHBus in Hidalgo County. Through the efforts of Commissioner Cantu and his administration, these resources centers reach families who may not have access to education programs, necessary information, and life skills that improve the livelihoods of future generations.

San Juan p2 Community Resource Center

 

Families can access various state and local county-assisted programs at little or no cost. Eddie Cantu and Precinct 2 ensure that the following programs are made available to families in San Juan and Hidalgo County.

Alamo p2 Community Resource Center

 

The location of Precinct 2, this community center offers similar local assisted programs and many non-profit services aimed to improve the well-being of residents.

 

Approximately 26,232 people or about 12,000 families have been helped by Precinct 2 since first opening its doors in 2009.

TECHBus

 

The Taking Education to the County of Hidalgo Bus is a mobile computer lab aimed to give internet access to children and adults in the appropriate communities and foster the growth of education and technical skills. Precinct 2 provides introductory computer science courses and adult career-readiness computer classes.
